Argentinian duo Mirta Álverez and Fabián Carbone performs hot music from their origins. They play passionate tango by composers such as Astor Piazzolla, Aníbal Troilo and Roberto Grela.
Tango guitarist Mirta Álvarez is considered one of the most authentic and brilliant interpreters of tango and Argentinian folk music. Coming from Buenos Aires, Mirta, a Senior Guitar Professor, studied in the Popular Music School of Avellaneda as a Senior Instrumentalist of Popular Music with a specialization in Tango Guitar and Folk Guitar. She was a student of Argentine Master guitarists Aníbal Arias and Kelo Palacios.
Bandoneon virtuoso Fabián Carbone was born into a family of tango musicians in Buenos Aires. Carbone plays in many ensembles and is a passionate interpreter of Argentinian tango. He has played with great artists such as Estrella Morente, Fito Paez, Joaquín Sabina, Shakira, Enrique Morente, Plácido Domingo, Pedro Guerra, María Dolores Pradera, Miguel Cantilo, Diego El Cigala, Imperio Argentina, Guillermo Fernandez and Nacha Guevara among others.
