Bogdan Mihailescu is a young guitar talent who has been invited to several festivals around the world, in destinations such as France, Romania, Spain, Portugal, Finland, Australia, Brazil, Argentina and Mexico. In 2014, Bogdan won the international Guitar Competition in Jose Tomas. Included in the award was this concert at Tampere Guitar Festival.
Born in Bucharest, Romania, Bogdan Mihailescu started playing guitar at the age of 10. After finishing his studies at the “George Enescu” Music School in the class of Liviu Georgescu, Mihailescu moved to Paris to study with Judicael Perroy at the Regional Conservatory of Aulnay sous Bois. At the age of 24, he has already won a multitude of prizes in several guitar competitions worldwide. Bogdan plays a Jim Redgate guitar.
