Born in Khabarovsk, Russia in 1990, Arthur Bochkivskiy is one of the most remarkable young guitarists of his generation in Russia. Well known as a soloist, Bochkivskiy is regularly welcomed to perform together with symphony and chamber orchestras.
In 2007 Arthur Bochkivskiy began studies for classic guitar at local College of Arts. In following consecutive years, his achievements as a competitor in international guitar competitions held in the region have been notably recognized. In 2008 Arthur became a winner of prestigious “Young Talents of Russia” musical contest in Moscow. In the following year he was granted a special prize at “Brahman” international competition – a brand new Brahman’s guitar. In 2012 he was the winner of the Stockholm International Music Competition in Sweden. These days Arthur studies at the St. Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts.
